Does the $100 benefit Family or Fidel?

Ileana Ros Lehtinen (IRL), the Congresswoman from Coral Gables has a litany of worn out phrases that she spits out like a copy machine gone haywire whenever any kind of ‘negative’ information comes out of Cuba. Most of them are verbose and designed to please her own ears.

However one verbal grenade that IRL likes to toss repeatedly is ‘reducing the amount of remittances that can be sent to Cuba’, as payback for anything and everything the Cubans do. During the administration of President George W. Bush the amount that Cuban-Americans could send back to family in Cuba was reduced and limited to $300 per quarter. Certainly this pleased IRL because she has long shown a disdain for the Cuban people who refused to rise up against Castro in order that the Batistani’s might go back and take over the country. IRL’s constant refrain is ‘this money is propping up Castro and his family.’

Unfortunately that refrain has taken hold with some of the naive members of Congress who have been hoodwinked by IRL and the Diaz Balart duo through the year.  So let’s take a look at this claim. First of all the Cuban government has been propped up for quite some time by Venezuela and China. Chinese container ships and Venezuelan tankers bring consumer goods and fuel to the country in a steady stream with ships arriving almost daily. So the ‘regime’ is not exactly destitute, despite the claims of a woman who has never been in the country since she was a young child.

And so what is the truth about the family remittances? Fortunately for the Cuban people President Obama in 2009 lifted all limits on family remittances, a move that thrilled Cubans and Cuban-American families in the US but no doubt had IRL spitting nails. “How dare President Obama do this,” she probably asked. “Those people down there need to be punished for not rising up against Fidel. All these octogenarian Cuban dinosaurs here in Miami have dreamed of going back and restoring Cuba to its Batista glory, and those people never rose up against Fidel. They don’t deserve money; they don’t deserve to eat pork or chicken. Let them eat Castro’s rice and beans!”

And that is the route that many remittances take. The recipients go to the government store to buy pork and chicken and other ‘luxury’ food items. I’ve given cash gifts to close friends in Cuba and that is exactly where the money goes, to buy food for their family.  Does the government realize a profit from these sales? Of course, but even if it’s as high as 20% that is a secondary realization.

The primary realization is that this family has $100 worth of food products in their freezer and refrigerator. In IRL’s world that is a bad thing because she despises the people of her homeland. But you can bet that Jesus is pleased that the Cuban people have been given the opportunity to enjoy some of the bounties of life courtesy of their US families. And contrary to statements by other Cuban-American politicians, the Cuban government does not take a percentage ‘off the top’ on remittances.  The Cuban nationals receive every penny, of course converted to CUCs.

Some of these remittances also go to the new entrepreneurs in Cuba who are starting up small businesses. The same facts apply: the entrepreneur has the full value of the money to purchase goods and services from other entrepreneurs or from state stores. If some of it goes as profit to the government, well the money has served the greater good – the needs of the entrepreneur.

A parallel to the remittances can be drawn with money that goes to IRL’s campaign. Consider than in the 2011 – 2012 election cycle the University of Miami donated $10,450 to Ileana Ros Lehtinen’s campaign. Are there students at The U who work hard for their tuition money and who find Ileana Ros Lehtinen an absolutely loathsome and despicable woman. Do you think they are happy with their tuition money going to support her agenda? In that respect, Ileana Ros Lehtinen and Fidel Castro are like two peas in a pod.

Cuba 54 – The Book

JPGcover - Crop
Cuba 54 is about the wonderful people of Cuba and how they have been abused for 54 years by the Miami Cartel, made up of remnants of the Batista Dictatorship which was toppled in 1959.  Among it’s many topics the book details acts of terrorism perpetrated against US and Cuban targets by terror cells operating from Miami with support and protection from members of the US Congress.
The book debunks many Miami-based falsehoods about Cuban life,
and lays forth a path to end this decades old grudge driven by vengeful & morally bankrupt Cuban-Americans, offspring of the remnants of the Batista Regime. The book is based on Paul LeBon’s real life experiences and interaction with individuals across Cuba over Nine Mission trips. Those in the ‘Miami Cartel’ who claim to be experts on Cuba have never been there! Yet they inflict their rage and animus on the people who have refused to overthrow the man who destroyed their crime syndicate known as the Batista Dictatorship.
And the Miami Cartel holds our government hostage as they perpetuate a $40 Million a year scam known as the Cuban Democracy Movement. Most of that $40 Million makes its way into the pockets of sycophants, hangers-on, and parasites in Miami who pay tribute to morally bankrupt elected officials and operate organizations which are rife with nepotism, cronyism, and corruption. Very little of that $40 Million ever makes it’s way to Cuba. Many citizens in Cuba have been stunned to view the IRS 990 forms of these groups showing how much money they receive in the name of ‘Cuban Democracy’ and how much is squandered by Miami parasites. Cuba 54 will open the eyes of any moral citizen as to what is going on in Cuba as a result of the greedy and amoral conduct of the Miami Cartel.

Rafael and Ted Cruz – Biggest Cuban Con Artists since Rosie Ruiz

Before the bombings at the Boston Marathon this year, the biggest scandal to hit the Marathon was 1980 when a non-sweating Cuban-born woman with flabby calves named Rosie Ruiz rode the subway across Boston to the finish line and claimed to have run the entire 26.2 miles. What made this especially scandalous was that she crossed the finish line as the first woman and was crowned winner, much to the shock of the professional racing community who had never heard of this Cubana-Americana. Within days she was stripped of her crown.
Well, after a thirty year hiatus of high profile Cuban Con Artists, we now have the father son team of Rafael and Ted Cruz. Ted was elected to the US Senate last year, riding the coattails of his father’s lies about having fought in the Cuban Revolution at age 14 and fleeing Cuba  for his life . Ted and Rafael Cruz have misled the Tea Party, the Republican Party, and the voters of the Great State of Texas with false tales of heroism in the Cuban Revolution. Furthermore Rafael’s stories of working as a 50 cent an hour non-English speaking dishwasher in Austin, Texas while attending English-only University of Texas are likely hogwash, but if they are true as the Senator insists, they would have subjected Rafael Cruz to being deported as an illegal immigrant. (what is referred to in a Tea Party You Tube video as a ‘job stealing wetback working for sub-standard wages stealing a job from an American’)
This likely lawbreaker Rafael Cruz could not have obtained a Social Security Card from the INS as he claims. Foreign students did not qualify for SS Cards, and the cards have never been issued by the INS. They have always been issued by the Social Security Administration via US Mail.
Rafael Cruz states: “So I found myself at 14 years old involved in a Revolution.” Rafael was 14 in 1953. In 1953 there was one incident, the July 26 raid on the Moncada Barracks. Fidel Castro and his rebels who survived were jailed then released in May, 1955 and they departed for Mexico. They returned from Mexico on December 2, 1956. The first battle of the Revolution took place January 17, 1957 at the Mouth of the Plata River. This is around the time Rafael Cruz – the son of an affluent Matanzas, Cuba family and ally of the Batista Dictatorship – would have been anticipating leaving Cuba to attend the University of  Texas in the late summer of 1957.
This Con Artist tale begs the question: how does a boy who claims he had left his home in Matanzas at age 14 and was gone for four years ‘in the Revolution’ missing all four grades of high school get accepted at an American university, especially by just ‘writing a letter’ at the last minute. No surprise that Rafael Bienvenido Cruz is not mentioned in either Museum of the Revolution in Cuba.
Cubans who fought in the Revolution were incensed at hearing Cruz’ claims that he escaped death several times and managed to get away ‘by the Grace of God.’ The say that he ‘urinates on the graves of true youth heroes like William Soler, Jose Echeverria, and Frank Pais.’ The living Cuban heroes label Rafael Cruz a ‘bola de grasa’; a greaseball. The true heroes suspect that Rafael Cruz, the son of an affluent family, was possibly a spy for the Batista Dictatorship who later granted him an exit visa, perhaps infiltrating the FEU or the AAA and setting up youth leaders for torture and execution.
The bola de grasa even goes so far as to claim that Fidel Castro used to travel around Cuba ‘talking about hope and change’ though Fidel never made any public speeches during the run up to and execution of the Revolution. This claim merely allows the Cruz Cuban Con Artist to compare Barack Obama to Fidel Castro. The scary part if that the suckers in groups like Freedom Works and Tea Party believe his crap hook line and sinker. A con man comes along once a generation, but there are suckers born every minute, wearing tea bags and American flags.
Liar, Liar Pants on Fire Cruz Videos
There are two Ted Cruz You Tube videos. One exposes the fraudulent claims by Rafael Cruz of heroism in the Cuban Revolution with rebuttal and commentary by actual heroes of the Revolution. Also highlighted is misrepresentation of facts and Rafael Cruz’s illegal work history by Senator Ted Cruz. It runs approximately 15 minutes.
Full Video with all of Rafael Cruz Tall Tales, Fraud, Deception and Illegal Work History
(criminal work history, in Tea Party terminology) Also lies and deception by Ted Cruz
The second video is abbreviated and deals simply with Rafael Cruz’ illegal work history when he claims he came to the US in 1957, with affirmation by Senator Ted Cruz. It runs just over 2 minutes
Two Minute Abbreviated Version – Rafael Cruz’ history as an illegal, working for substandard wages and stealing a job from an American
Thanks to Bob Weir Flower Mound, TX
His American Thinker article raised red flags about Rafael Cruz’ tall tales and led to Rafael being exposed as a fraud and Ted as a liar supporting that fraud

Cuban Terrorists in Congress

If you support a terrorist, you’re a terrorist.” – President George W. Bush, 2003

By President George W. Bush’s definition, we have had three (currently two) members of Congress who qualify to be labeled terrorists. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Lincoln Diaz-Balart, and Mario Diaz-Balart have given unwavering support to murderous terrorists in their South Florida lair for over 20 years.
Orlando Bosch (now deceased) and Luis Posada Carilles are responsible for the death of 78 innocent souls in the bombing of Cubana Flight 455 in 1976 as well as a litany of other crimes documented by the FBI and NSA. They have never faced justice. They have been protected through pardons and clemency brought about by the efforts of their three terrorist collaborators, Ros-Lehtinen and the two Diaz-Balarts. Posada was involved in the bombing of tourist sites in Havana in 1997 that killed one tourist. Posada told the New York Times it was one of many terrorist acts financed by Jorge Mas-Canosa, founder of the Cuban American National Foundation. Mas-Canosa can be considered the Osama Bin-Laden of the Caribbean, a billionaire financing terror but keeping his distance from it.
When the FBI went to Havana to investigate the tourist bombings, Ros-Lehtinen fought to shut down their investigation. Posada was arrested in Panama in 2000 for attempting to blow up a university auditorium filled with students to hear a lecture by Fidel Castro. When he was convicted and jailed,  Ros and the Diaz brothers – the ‘Tres Chiflados’ (three stooges) as they are known in Cuba wrote to the President of Panama on US Congress stationary pleading to have this murderous terrorist released from a Panama prison. He was freed and sneaked into the US illegally. His terrorist collaborators saw to it that he was given clemency so as not to have to be held accountable for the murders on CU 455 or in Havana.
Ros-Lehtinen, nicknamed La Cochino (the pig) by Cubans is despised by Cubans from all walks of life. She is considered Public Enemy #2 after Luis Posada. This is a result of all the pain she has brought onto the Cuban people and the protection of acknowledged murderers. Men in Cuba argue over who would get to her first with a machete if she ever set foot in the country,The Diaz-Balarts’ father Rafael was Deputy Interior Minister in the Batista Dictatorship. The Interior Ministry oversaw kidnapping, rape, torture, and executions. I sat for two hours one evening in Havana with a 74 year old woman who participated in a Rosary in Havana. She told me a story about alleged conduct by Rafael Diaz-Balart 56 years ago that had me in tears for two hours.
Memo to Secretary of State Henry Kissinger
implicating Luis Posada Carilles in bombing
of Cubana Flight 455. Cubans say every morning
this terrorist faces south from Miami and gives the
families of his victims the middle finger.I have met family members of victims who say, “Your country brought the Pan Am 103 bomber to justice. Why does your government protect this murderer?”
Dictator Batista’s Deputy Interior Minister Rafael Diaz-Balart is pictured in the center amid the Masferrer Brothers, two of Batista’s freelance killers who formed their own paramilitary group. They are suspected of killing 2,000 civilians before 1959. The Batista Interior Ministry raped, tortured, and executed several thousand. According to those who fought against Batista, no one ever left a Batista prison alive. The building which houses the Law School at Florida International University is named in honor of Rafael Diaz-Balart.

Capitol Hill Cubans Love Castro’s Thugs

A week or so ago in the daily rants distributed via email by Mauricio Claver Carone, mouthpiece for the Diaz Balart/Ros Lehtinen Axis of Retribution there was mention made of alleged attacks against Los Dames de Blanco in several locations across Cuba. I say alleged because although I have contacts in almost 30 Catholic parishes across the island I have not been able to confirm these supposed incidents. But whether they did or did not occur is not the point. The point is I sense a spirit of jubilation that goes up in the Congressional offices of the aforementioned as well as in the office of Capitol Hill Cubans whenever they report – real or fabricated – about attacks on the Ladies in White.
When you read between the lines on the so-called reporting of these alleged incidents you get a sense that this Cuban Troika is happy to once again make accusations of verbal and physical abuse of the Ladies by ‘Castro’s thugs’ while arguing for the same tired retaliation: reduce family remittances, limiting of family travel back to Cuba, and eliminate People-to-People programs. How will this help Los Damas de Blanca? Some receive remittances from family in the United States so they may be harmed financially by the Troika’s retaliatory tactics. All of these ‘punishments’ hit the wrong target; they hit the 11 Million innocent people of Cuba.
I have been blessed on my Nine Mission trips to have attended Sunday 10:00 A.M. Mass at St Rita’s Church in Miramar along with the Ladies in White. I have never been abrupt or aggressive in any manner but I have always had a backpack which had a US flag on it. That and my mode of attire have let the bystanders know where I am from. I have actually seen bystanders disperse and more importantly I have never observed any untoward action directed towards the Ladies in White. I have had conversations with them before and after Mass, upon the completion of their procession.
The solution to protecting the Ladies in White and to also spread the message of freedom to everyday Cubans is an elimination of the travel ban to Cuba. During the Iraq war we repeatedly heard the term ‘boots on the ground’ to help bring freedom and democracy to the Iraqi people. Well in Cuba Los Damas de Blanco and millions of others need ‘sneakers on the streets’ – American tourists to interact with, to learn from, and to be shadowed by them in the public exercise of their faith and their beliefs.
My father used to say “Politicians don’t want to solve problems. Then they have nothing to complain about and they can’t get on TV.” What a shame it would be for Diaz-Balart if dozens of American tourists were attending Mass at St Rita in Miramar every Sunday. He could not feign indignation over mistreatment of Ladies in White. Moreover, Ileana Ros Lehtinen who has spent two decades protecting terrorists and thugs could no longer call press conferences with Mario obediently by her side where she would complain about ‘Castro’s thugs’. And Capitol Hill Cubans, the collection of D-B and R-L throwaways and hangers on could slink into oblivion.

Cuba 54; It’s Time to End the Abuse of 11 Million People by the Miami Cartel, by Paul LeBon; 191 pages,

Shows the impact of the Cuban Embargo on the people of Cuba, driven by corrupt, self-serving politicians Ilieana Ros Lehtinen and Lincoln & Mario Diaz Balart, spawn of former Batista thug and alleged executioner Rafael Diaz Balart.
